Lockner Dies in Ontario George Washington Lockner, 64, of Fruitland, died in an Ontario hospital Dec. 26. Mr. Lockner was born May 9, 1890, in Linwood, Neb., and had farmed in the Fruitland community since 1909. He is survived by two sons, Elmer and Glenn, both of Fruitland, one daughter, Mrs. Lavina Smartwood of Bremerton, Wash., one brother, Charlie R. Lockner, of Fruitland; three sisters and five grandchildren. Services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church in Fruitland with Rev. Nye officiating. Interment was at the Riverside cemetery. The Shaffer chapel was in charge of services.
