Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 14, at the Church of the Nazarene, Ontario with the Reverend Stan Rodes officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Glenn was born August 31, 1920, at Fruitland to George and Alice Lockner. He was reared, educated in Fruitland and was a lifelong resident there. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific, on Iwo Jima and Saipan among other places during World War II. After the war, he returned home to Fruitland. He married Dorothy Carpenter on August 28, 1946, at Ontario. Their marriage lasted 51 years. Glenn worked for Art Campo in Fruitland and later opened a garage with Bill Englehorn. He worked for several years for the Fruitland Canning Association and in 1960, he opened Lockner Garage, which he owned and operated until he semi-retired in 1983. he continued to be involved in the business until the time of his death. He was a skilled machinist and fabricator; building much of his own equipment. He enjoyed fishing, duck and pheasant hunting and camping. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Fruitland; a sister, Lavina Swartwood of Oak Harbor, Wash.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Rita of Ontario, Steve and Debbie of Boise, and Bob and Lynn of Fruitland, and eight grandchildren. His parents and his brother, Elmer "Shorty" died earlier. Memorials may be made to Friends of Pathway Hospice, care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, Idaho 83661.
