Former Fruitland Resident Succumbs

Word was received at Fruitland this week of the death of James W. McCluer, 87, 
a former resident for many years in the Fruitland community.
Mr. McCluer died in Los Angeles January 23 as a result of injuries suffered in 
an accident.
He was born in 1872 in Marion county, Illinois and moved with his family to 
Fruitland in 1912. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. K. Blackburn of 
Fruitland; two sons, Lloyd McCluer of Fruitland and Eugene McCluer of Long 
Beach, California; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
