Ruth McComb Passes at 78
 
Mrs. Ruth R. McComb, 78, New Plymouth, died Friday in the Ontario hospital 
following a short illness.  She was born Feb. 3, 1886 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  
She married Hillburn Roy McComb at Grand Rapids in March 1907.
 
The couple came from Michigan to Payette in 1925.  Mr. McComb died in 1936 and 
Mrs. McComb returned to Michigan in 1941.  She came to New Plymouth in 1952.  
She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
Survivors include a son, Lester R. McComb, New Plymouth; a brother, John 
Ruwersma, of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Folkema, Coopersville, 
Mich., and Mrs. Ann Huisken, Marne, Mich.; a granddaughter and several great-
grandchildren.  A son, Donald, preceded her in death in 1943.
 
Services were held Tuesday at the New Plymouth Shaffer Memory Chapel with the 
Rev. Allen Lambert, of the Fruitland Methodist Church officiating.  Interment 
followed at Riverside, Payette.
