Death of John McDonald

Uncle John McDonald is dead. After a brief illness he passed away Wednesday 
afternoon at 1 o'clock. He was 73 years old, but up to the hour of his last 
sickness he was in possession of all his faculties and was quite active for 
one of his age. He was taken to his bed a few days ago and had a congestive 
chill from the effects of which he never fully recovered, but his death was 
most unexpected even to the members of his immediate family. The funeral will 
take place from the M.E. church this afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the body will 
be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
