McMurren Services for Joseph Clard McMurren, 71, who died at his home in Payette Wednesday were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Payette Chapel of the Roses by Bishop Robert L. Kane. Interment was at Rosedale Memorial Gardens. Mr. McMurren was born Feb. 23, 1899, at Van Zant, Mo. He was a long-time resident of the Payette community. He married Ethel Merrell in October, 1922, at Montoya, N. M. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel McMurren, Payette; four sons, Jack A., Nampa, John C., San Bernardino, Calif., Richard, Kingsbury, Texas, and Joseph C. McMurren, San Francisco, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Leland (Mildred) Bahr, Payette, Mrs. Paul (Ita) Strunk, Germany, Mrs. Robert (Willie) Steele, Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara J. Norwood, Downey, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Mary Artz, Payette; two brothers, Roscoe McMurren, Astoria, Ore., and Irvin McMurren, Hebo, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Mildred) Brundage, Payette, and Mrs. Frances Long, Sherwood, Ore. and 15 grandchildren. A daughter preceded in him death in 1934 and a granddaughter died in 1959.
