Former Payette Man Dies In California
 
Services for Dr. Clinton A. Mercer, 58, of Berkeley, California and a former 
resident of Payette, will be conducted Friday at Shaffer chapel in Payette.  
The Rev. Leonard Clark will officiate and interment will be at Riverside in 
Payette.
 
The California optometrist was born Sept. 15, 1901 at Laurens, Iowa.  He was 
graduated from Payette High School in 1919.  He is survived by two brothers, 
Glenn of San Francisco, Calif.; and Kenneth of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and two 
sisters, Miss Sadie Mercer of Nampa and Mrs. Frank Tobey of Eugene, Oregon.
 
Dr. Mercer died last Friday in Berkeley.
