Services were conducted Saturday at 11 a.m., at Fruitland United Methodist church by the Rev. Hardy Thompson, with ritualistic rites by the Lorraine Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star. Interment followed in Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Chapel in Fruitland. She was born Feb. 27, 1902, at Clarks, Neb., where she was reared and educated. She married Edward Mess May 23, 1922, and they moved to Fruitland in July 1925. He died in1961. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a past matron of Chapter No. 20 OES, a member of the Boise Daughters of the Nile and of many other service and social organizations. Surviving are a son, Marvin of Fruitland; two daughters, Mrs. Eggert (Betty) Oft of Ontario, and Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Fredricksen of Portland; a brother, Donald Frazier of Archer, Neb.; two sisters, Mabel Hansen of Archer, and Janice Hesselgesser of Central City, Nev.; eight grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Friends may call at the chapel Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Fruitland Methodist Church.
