Mitchell, War Vet Rev. Arthur Baldwin will conduct services for Charley E. Mitchell, 59, former Fruitland resident who died at Ft. Meade, S. D. Funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p. m. in the Shaffer Memory chapel. Mr. Mitchell was born Nov. 20, 1893 in Salt Lake City. He came to Fruitland with his family in 1896. He served in the military in World War I and has spent his life since then in veteran's hospitals. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Marie Syme, Fruitland, a brother, Ralph, Fruitland and two half-brothers, also of Fruitland, Banks and Kenneth Syme. Two sisters, Mrs. Adelaide Durbin, Auburn, Wash., and Mary Edith Profitt, Seattle, are survivors. Interment will be in the Riverside cemetery.
