Elijah M. Moore Dies Tuesday
Elijah Major Moore, 77, died in Payette, Tuesday, August 7. 
Mr. Moore was born in Searey county, Arkansas, November 11, 1874, until 
retirement, he has been a farmer, at one time he owned and operated the farm 
southwest of Ontario that is now the LDS church farm. Survivors include his 
wife Mrs. Jessie Moore, of Payette and his daughter, Mrs. Modest M. Matthews, 
of Ontario and his son, Samuel M. Moore, of Roseburg, and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 10 at 10:30 at Beechlers 
Memorial Chapel in Ontario, Rev. Raymond L. Wilson officiating at the services.
Vault interment was held at the Evergreen cemetery in Ontario.
