Masonic memorial services, Mt. Shasta lodge #281 officiating, were conducted May 17, 1998 at Redding. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, with Don Gardner with Holy Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Bart was born Feb. 7, 1909 in Payette, to Albert Bartlett Moss Jr. and Grace Zeller Moss. He attended the University of Idaho majoring in Entomology. In 1933, he married Kathleen Vinsonhaler at Council, Idaho. Their children are: Anthony Bartlett Jr. and Kathleen Carolyn. Bart and his wife, Kay, moved to Anderson, Calif. in 1943, where they lived for 21 years. In 1964, they moved to Redding. Bart was self-employed as a beekeeper for many years. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers and operated heavy equipment on road construction projects. During the last nine years of his working career, he was employed by Shasta County Department of Public Works as a special Crews Foreman. He served as President of the Shasta County Credit Union, he retired in 1969. He then served as Present of Chapter #34 of the Retired Public Employees Association of California and as Area TT Director for RPEA. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #281 in Anderson and was Master in 1961. His interests in life were home and family, people, golf, hunting, fishing and bowling. Survivors include his daughter, Kathleen Coates; grandchildren, Sandra Kjer, Susan Taylor and Jeffrey Moss; great-grandchildren, Shannon, Spencer and Noah Taylor; sister, Celia Strawn; nieces, Sally Strawn, Linda Bernard and Janie Tiedeman, and nephew, Larry Vinsonhaler.
