Dennis William Nelson
 
PAYETTE - Dennis William Nelson, 21, a student at the University of Idaho, 
died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1991, in a Lewiston hospital.
 
Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the Holy family 
Catholic Church of Payette.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Holy Family Catholic Church.  Bishop Nicholas 
E. Walsh, Father Sean Caulfield and sister Margie Schmidt will be co-
celebrants.  Private inurnment services will be held later under the direction 
of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
 
Denny was born April 26, 1970, at Ontario, Ore., a son of Bill and Jan 
Nelson.  He was raised and educated in Payette graduating from Payette High 
School in 1988.  He was a Lion's Exchange Student to Japan in 1986, Boy's 
State Representative 1987; Business Week Representative 1987; a Page in the 
Idaho House of Representatives in 1988; attended the University of Idaho from 
1988 to 1991.  Denny served an Internship in the Idaho State Treasurer' office 
in 1991; he was active in the Holy Family Catholic Church and was a member of 
Kappa Sigma Fraternity from 1988 to 1991.
 
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Jan Nelson of Payette; a maternal 
grandmother Connie Crawford of Helix, Ore., a paternal grandmother, Velda 
Nelson of Payette and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
 
Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church, Kappa Sigma 
Fraternity or your favorite charity, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory chapel, P.O. 
Box 730, Payette, Idaho 83661.
