Funeral services were held at the Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Thomas Ashworth. We are not in possession of any history of Mr. Noot's life but know that he was born in South Wales in 1838, and was 81 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. and Mrs. Noot came to Payette about 22 years ago and during that time made many friends. Mr. Noot was a civil engineer and followed that occupation all through life. He was City Engineer of the city of Payette for many years resigning on account of failing health. He is survived by a wife and one son, Frank Noot who is government Engineer somewhere on the western coast, and who was here to attend the funeral.
