Norris, wife of John H. Norris, prominent Payette attorney, died in the Weiser hospital last Wednesday night. She was 78, born March 29, 1894 at Missoula, Mont. She married John Norris at Shoshone, Idaho in 1920 and the couple came to Payette in 1913. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Methodist church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Portia Club here. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Judge Gilbert C. Norris of Weiser, a judge in the Seventh District Court and Col. Jack R. Norris, serving in the U.S. Army at Mieral Wells, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Harriette Carspetyan of Barcelona, Spain and Mrs. Carolyn Elder of New York city; a brother, Ernest Kummer of Seattle; and (unreadable) grandchildren. Services were conducted Monday at 2 p. m. at the Payette First Methodist church. Interment followed at Riverside with Shaffer Memory Chapel handling arrangements.
