In infancy he moved with his parents to Michigan, where he lived until the age of ten, then going to Hanover, Kansas, where he grew to Manhood. When he was 25 years of age he went to Minnesota, where he engaged in the lumbering business, retiring from active business in 1918. In 1894 he was married to Miss Annie Caron, and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive him. E. D. Pacha of Payette, Mrs. Burl Betzer of Stayton, Oregon, Mrs. Herman Broderson of Payette, his wife, Mrs. Annie Pacha, and two grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Kate Triska, of Hanover, Kansas, followed him in death on February 15, 1935. He is also survived by two sisters, Tina Pecenka, and Anna Kleetson, both of Hanover, Kansas, and two brothers, Jacob of East Pleasant Plain, Iowa, and Joseph of Marysville, Kansas.
