Patrick Passes At Fruitland Clare Butler Patrick, 70, Fruitland, died Sunday morning following a long illness. Mr. Patrick was born December 10, 1889, in Plainview, Nebr., and came to Fruitland from Neligh, Nebr., 20 years ago. He was a member of the Christian church in Neligh, Payette lodge No. 22, IOOF, and the Payette Encampment. Surviving are his wife, Christine; three sons, Claude L. Patrick of Weiser, Darrell S. Patrick of Fruitland and Neil C. of Creswell, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Dee Spencer of Payette; a brother, Guy Patrick of Fruitland; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Lenard of Cherokee, Iowa, and Mrs. Bessie Simpkins of California; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. A daughter, Celella Williams, preceded him in death in 1937. Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Fruitland Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Stanley Sutphin officiating. Payette lodge No. 23, IOOF, conducted graveside rites at Parkview in New Plymouth.
