She was united in marriage to Nobel A. Peacock at Vinita, Oklahoma, September 13, 1896. To this union was born 5 children, a son Nobel P. of Weepah, Nevada, and four daughters, Mrs. Sim Watkins and Mrs. Robert Baldwin of Fruitland, Mrs. Neal Scrivner of Caldwell and Mrs. Howard Vanderford of Parma. Also two grandsons, Ray and Robert Baldwin, one granddaughter Lois Armina Vanderford, an aged mother, Mrs. Hettie Millender of Hammond, Indiana, 5 sisters and 2 brothers, besides a host of friends who grieve her departure. Mr. and Mrs. Peacock moved to Ontario, Oregon, in 1901, and in 1914 they moved to their present home near Fruitland. She united with the Baptist church in Ontario in 1905, and has been a devoted member and staunch worker ever since. She was also a member of the W. C. T. U. During her illness she was tenderly cared for by her family and it was a comfort for her to have them all with her at this time. During the four months of intense suffering, no word of complaint came from her and the patience and cheerfulness shown was marvelous. She was a good neighbor and numbered her friends by her acquaintances. Those who knew her best loved her most, and the entire community is saddened by her passing. Funeral services were held from the Baptist church last Thursday at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. F. M. Burtch of Notus, assisted by Rev. F. P. Petit. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery. The sympathy of their many friends is extended to the bereaved family.
