Zellma Eldorise Pearce
 
Zellma Eldorise Pearce, 77, Payette, died peacefully at home under the care of 
Pathway Hospice on July 12, 1997.  Graveside services were 10 a.m. today at 
Riverside Cemetery, Payette with Bishop Lynn Walker of the Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter-day Saints Second Ward officiating, under the direction of 
Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
 
She was born June 17, 1920 to Ed and Mabel Rorabaugh.  She grew up and 
attended schools in Payette, and worked as the executive secretary for the 
Local Selective Service Board #38 for 15 years.
 
Zellma is survived by a son, Walter "Sonny" Pearce of Ontario; a daughter, 
Diana Patrick of Houston, Texas; a stepdaughter, Iris Stallsmith of Payette; a 
stepson, Victor Pearce of Nampa; a brother, Orville Rarabaugh of Casa Grande, 
Ariz.; a sister, Augusta Cote of Jacksonville, Fla.; an adopted sister, Pat 
Coben of San Diego, Calif.; a stepsister, Olive Pierce of Payette; three 
grandsons, Virgil Pearce and David and Robert Stallsmith;  four great-
grandsons; two great-granddaughters; one adopted great-granddaughter and many 
wonderful, kind friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Walter "Brownie" Pearce; a grandson, Terry Stallsmith, her mother and father, 
her stepmother, Pearl Rorabaugh and longtime companion Oakley Barker.
