MOTHER DIES IN PORTLAND
 
At a late hour last Tuesday evening the sad news reached Payette announcing 
the death of Mrs.. Wm. Pearson of Portland, mother of Mrs. Chas. Denny and 
Elmo Pearson of this city, which occurred in Portland.  She was also the 
mother of Mrs. Mark Shafer of Portland, who was here with her husband on their 
vacation.  Upon receiving the sad news Mr. and Mrs. Shafer and Mr. Pearson 
left at once for Portland.  Mrs. Denny being unable to go on account of ill 
health.
