Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, New Plymouth, with Pastor Russell Steiner of the New Plymouth First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth. He was born Oct. 26, 1922, at Waco, Mo.; the son of Walter and Vesta Peden. He married Ruby Worthington on June 7, 1941, at Harrison, Ark. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. They moved to New Plymouth in 1956 from Galena, Kan. He is survived by his wife, Ruby, New Plymouth; six sons, Ernest, Walter, Robert, Miles and Larry all of New Plymouth; and James of Keyport, Wash.; four daughters, Wanda Smith and Kay Craft, both of New Plymouth; Ruby Fay Bayes, Bristow, Okla.; and Henrietta Burt, Payette; a sister, Nadine Moore, Payette; 50 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, New Plymouth.
