Peterson PAYETTE-Raymond P. Peterson, 75, of Payette, died Tuesday in a Caldwell hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1896 at Rice Lake, Wis. He grew up in Wisconsin and at York, Neb. He served with the U. S. Army in France during World War 1. Following the war he came to Boise where he married Marian I. Bloss, April 17, 1920. They made their home at Wendell for a time and then moved to Payette in 1924 where he had since resided. He operated a restaurant in Payette until 1945. He then operated an orchard in the Fruitland area until the time of his death. He was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Payette; the Washoe Lodge No. 28 AF&AM in Payette; the El Korah Shrine in Boise; the Hesters; The John Webster Rhodes American Legion Post No. 33 and the BPOE Lodge No. 1690 of Ontario. Survivors include his widow of Paytte; a son, W. C. Peterson, Fruitland; a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Silbert, Boise; and six grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the St. James Episcopal Church in Payette by Fr. Paul Tracy. Interment will follow at Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette. The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Hospital care of Leonard Josephson, Payette; to the St. James Episcopal Church in Payette, or flowers may be sent.
