Long Time Resident Passes

Miss Cora Juanita Platt, 68, passed away January 20, at a hospital at Ontario. 
She was born in Central City, Nebr., October 5, 1879 and came to Payette with 
her parents in 1886 and has made her home here since. Miss Platt was a member 
of the Episcopal church. Surviving her is one sister, Mrs. Emma Marguardsen, of 
Buhl, and one nephew, Ernest Marguardsen of Orinda, Calif. Requiem Eucharist 
services were held Thursday morning at St. James Episcopal church at 10:00 a.m. 
and the funeral services were held at the church at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. 
Father Lloyd G. Comley officiating. Interment was at the Riverside cemetery 
under the direction of Landon-Shaffer.
