Platz Services for Mildred S. Platz, 86, of New Plymouth, who died Saturday, Oct. 20, 1984, in an Ontario nursing home were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, New Plymouth, with Rev. Earl Traughber of the New Plymouth Congregational Church officiating. Interment followed in Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth. Mrs. Platz, a homemaker, was born Dec. 28, 1897, at Cold Valley, Ore., daughter of James and Anna Blayden. She was reared and educated in the Emmett and Payette areas. She married Martin Platz on Aug. 29, 1917, at Payette and they made their home in New Plymouth. She was a member of the New Plymouth Congregational Church; the VFW Auxiliary of New Plymouth; the Royal Neighbors of America; and the Hobby Club. Survivors include four sons, Richard and Howard, both of New Plymouth, Roy of Willits, Calif., and Bob of Olympia, Wash.; a daughter, Dorothy Evans of Boise; a sister, Etta Lewis of Chinook, Mont.; a step-sister, Margaret Hoffart of Yakima, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
