Frank M. Pobst Dies Here Tuesday
 
Services were held Wednesday for Frank Mathias Pobst, 71, who died Tuesday 
afternoon at the home of a sister, Mrs. R. D. Maule, after a short illness.  
Mr. Pobst came to Payette about a month ago from Hollywood, Florida.
 
He was born March 8, 1887, at Haines, Ore., and was married in 1917 at 
Detroit, Mich., to Leone Garlick.  She died in January of 1957.
 
He was a member of the Board Ripple Masonic Lodge at Indianapolis, Ind.
 
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Scott Roberts of Hollywood, Fla., one 
brother, Sherman L. Pobst of Mission, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. R. D. Maule 
and Mrs. Hazel Peterman both of Payette, and Mrs. Arthur Polley of Fruitland, 
and two grandchildren.
 
Services were held at 4:00 p.m. at the Shaffer chapel in Payette with the Rev. 
Raymond A. Thompson of Fruitland officiating.  The remains were sent to 
Hollywood for final services and interment.
