PURCELL DIES MONDAY Columbus Marion Purcell, Payette, Idaho, passed away at the Payette General hospital on April 6, 1942, following an illness of several months. He was born at Woodbine, Iowa on June 29, 1861. In the spring of 1898 he came to Idaho, later returning to Iowa where he married Miss Cora Butcher at Logan, Iowa on October 22, 1899. He came again to Payette in 1900 and has since that time lived here. Four children blessed this home, two of which preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Purcell, a son, Clarence, of Folleyfarm, Oregon, and a daughter, Mrs. Reva Smidl of Portland, Oregon. Three children by a previous marriage also survive, a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Purdue of Lewis, Iowa and two sons, Walter of Bloomfield, Cal., and Earl of Richmond, Cal. Rev. A. H. Shuman had charge of the funeral services at Landon's Funeral parlors at ten o'clock Wednesday morning. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
