Her husband and daughter, Miss Bessie Purcell, were with her when she died. The body was brought to Payette for burial on the early train Wednesday morning, having been accompanied by the husband and daughter and by Rev. T. S. Dulin, pastor of the Baptist church of Baker City, formerly pastor of the church at this place of which Mrs. Purcell was a member. Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church in Payette Thursday morning by the Rev. Mrs. Dulin, while the local circle of the Royal Neighbors of which the deceased was a member performed the rites of the order at Riverside cemetery where the body was laid to rest. Mrs. Purcell was 37 years of age having been born in Illinois December 15, 1868. Her maiden name was Alberta Sophia Roadenizer. She was married to Benjamin Purcell December 6, 1883, nine children having been born to them, three of whom are dead. The family came to Payette in 1895 from Harrison county, Ia. Mrs. Purcell joined the Baptist church of Payette in January, 1901. For several years she had been an invalid but bore her suffering with Christian-like faith and fortitude.
