She moved with her parents seven years ago to Wilsonville, Oregon, and one year later to Payette. She was a graduate from the Payette High School in 1916 and was a favorite among the members of her class. She was taken ill while working in the Fifer restaurant at Ontario just a week before her death and removed to a rooming house where her condition was thought not serious until a short time before her death when she was removed to her home and it was learned by a physician that her illness was scarlet fever, and while everything was done that loving hands and physician's skill could do, death came to relieve her at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 6. She leaves to mourn her death, a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Reimers, five sisters, Lillie, Frieda, Eva, Anna and Marie, all of whom are at home, and one brother George Reimers in the service in France. Funeral services were held from Wood and Spaulding's undertaking Parlor Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the pastor of the German Lutheran church with only the immediate family present on account of the prevailing epidemic. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
