The body was recovered lodged in the ditch by Jim Frazier, Jr., through whose place the ditch runs. According to information from officers who investigated the accident, the youngster had been left in charge of a 13 year old sister while the parents were working at Ontario. The sister had missed her small brother and had started looking for him when the body was recovered. Neighbors had seen the little tot playing on a bridge across the ditch some time before and it is believed that he fell in the water, and was carried down the ditch to the Frazier place some distance away. Frazier estimated that it was about 30 minutes after the youngster fell in the water that he recovered the body. A call was sent in to the local fire department and Chief Glen Levers rushed out to the scene with a pulmotor but it was too late he said to revive the child. Coroner Landon later took the remains in charge and brought them to the Landon Funeral home here. Little James LeRoy was born in this city April, 26, 1945, it was reported.
