AN OLD FRIEND GONE
 
It is with regret that the editor of the independent records the death of Duke 
Robins, of McCall, who was found dead sitting in his office chair last 
Wednesday.  Duke was one of God's noble creatures, a gentleman of all times, a 
true friend and an entertaining and pleasant companion.  Our trips into the 
mountains where nature is seen at it's best and the best there is in man comes 
out, are at an end, but we will ever cherish the memory of the one with whom 
we have spent so many happy days.
 
Note:  According to the Idaho Death Index, Marmaduke Robins was born 8-17-1875 
and died 1-11-1926, McCall.  ch
