Elaine Constance Rose

Elaine Constance Rose, 74, Payette, died Dec. 12,1993, in a Payette care 
center. The Trisagion Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Shaffer-
Jensen Memory Chapel-Payette. The Rev. Father Demetrios Serfes of St. 
Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Boise, will officiate. Burial will 
follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. 

She was born Sept. 9, 1919, at Fruitland, a daughter of Gus and Eugene Davis. 
She was raised in Boise and Payette, attending school at St. Theresa's Catholic 
School in Boise and at Payette schools. She graduated from Payette High School 
in the class of 1939. She married Robert L. Rose on October 12, 1942, at 
Payette. They made their home in Payette and raised their family there. Elaine 
was a homemaker. She loved her friends and family. She was a member of St. 
Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Boise. 

Survivors include her husband, Bob Rose of Payette; her daughter, Eugenia 
Fairbanks of Payette; her granddaughter, Teresa Dhaffin of Ontario; her great-
grand-daughter, Samantha Nicole Chaffin of Ontario; two sisters, Marie Young of 
Vale and Esther Farley of Ontario, and two nephews, Gus Young of Ontario, and 
Marvin Farley of Ironside. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one 
sister, Irene Davis. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Friends of Hospice, in 
care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P. O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, 
Payette.
