Royston at the home on Pennsylvania. The circumstances of his sad and untimely going out from this life has shocked and saddened the entire community and scores of people came from all over the county for the funeral. The beautiful service was conducted by Rev. G. W. Barnes, of the Methodist church, of Payette. He called attention to the magnificent floral offerings from family, school, grange and friends explaining the love token from the family, a large wheel in white and pink with the absent spoke representing the absent husband and father. The octette of singers carried to the sorrowing hearts a message of hope and sympathy in several appropriate hymns, the duet, "Have Faith" by Mrs. Albert and Paul Brainard so touchingly sweet brought tears to many an eye. Deceased was born April 1, 1855, in Baltimore, Md., died April 16, 1915, aged 60 years and 15 days. He was married to Lily Ella Eaton, of Missouri, February 28, 1882, and came west, first to Colorado, thence to Nebraska to establish their home. Thirteen children were born to this union two of whom are dead. He is survived by his bereaved wife, six sons, John, of Prosser, Nebraska, who could not be present for the funeral, Edward, Charles, Schuyler, Earl, Lafayette and five daughters, Mrs. Harry Hart of Twin Falls, Mrs. Edwin Williams, of Kimberly, Clara, Irma and Josephine, his aged mother, Mary E. Royston, of the advanced age of 84 years, two sisters, Mrs. Kizzie Waltermyer and Mrs. Anna Bossom and four brothers, Charles, Wesley, William and Robert, all of Baltimore, the two last named in company with a brother-in-law, Samuel Miller, making the long journey almost across the continent for a last look at their beloved brother's face. Mr. Royston and his family came to the Payette valley in 1906 and settled on their ranch south of Fruitland where they have since lived closely identified with everything relating to the community's best interests. Mr. Royston had been a director of Canyon county fair since 1907, was president of the Idaho Swine Breeder's association at the time of his death, a member of the local and state grange and a member of the A. O. U. W. A cortege of sorrowing friends fully a mile in length, left the home for the last resting place of the deceased in Riverside cemetery at Payette. Contributed.
