Hall K. Wallis officiating. He was born February 3, 1883 in Leadville, Colo., and died Nov. 11, at the age of 53 years. He had been ill for some time and was en route to Salt Lake for medical treatment when death overtook him while he was still on the train. His early youth was spent in Nebraska and he came with his parents to Idaho in 1906. He had worked for the railroad for the past thirty years and the last twelve years had lived at Filer, Idaho, where he had many friends. He was an active member of the Odd Fellow lodge, having held many high offices. The members from Payette and several from Filer attended the services in a body and officiated at the grave. The many beautiful flowers were a silent tribute to the high esteem in which he is held by his many friends, who with his family will feel his loss keenly. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Etta Royston of Fruitland, five brothers, John, of Proseer, Nebraska, Earl of Ashland, Ore., Charles, Schuyler and Lafe of Portland. Four sisters, Mrs. Jack Oates and Mrs. Charles Davis of Fruitland, Mrs. Erma Jaeger of Portland, and Miss Clair Royston and other relatives. Pall bearers were Jack Johnson, Herbert Bayer, Frank Thompson, William Grieggs, Clayton Stewart and Miles Farson. Music was provided by a male quartet consisting of Earl Fisher, Lyle Borwn, Ben Shank and the Rev. E. J. Glover with Mrs. Earl Fisher as accompanist.
