D. SCHUTT C. D. Schutt, who for the past twenty-seven years has been a resident of Payette county, passed away at his home in this city last Sunday at the age of 83 years. Funeral services were held at the Landon Funeral home on Wednesday of this week with Rev. C. M. Strong, of the local Baptist church, officiating and interment was made in Riverside cemetery. Claus Diedrich Schutt was born Nov. 7, 1856 at Hamburg, Germany. At the age of 22, he came to the United States, first living at Chandler, Okla. There he met and married Ida Josephine Janson, in October, 1894. In 1911 they moved to Cambridge, Idaho. They came to Payette two years later, and have made their home here since that time. Survivors, besides his wife, are seven daughters, Mrs. David Anderson, Caldwell; Mrs. Fordyce Code, Boise; Mrs. William Maxwell, McMinville, Ore.; Mrs. Les Young, Newport, Ore.; Mrs. Paul Shininger, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Lester Johnson, Portland and Mrs. Earl Kellogg, Spokane, Wn.; two sons, Donald of Weiser, and Donovan of Shelley, Idaho, and 11 grandchildren.
