A. Coughanour, on Monday afternoon by Mr. Coughanour, who went there to look over the property. The body which was poorly dressed, was found lying on a pile of straw beside a dilapidated suitcase which contained a knife, fork and spoon, also some writing material. Coroner I. H. Adair, Sheriff J. C. Stewart and Dr. J. C. Woodward, county physician was called and a thorough examination was made which revealed but little evidence as to the identity of the man. It is believed that he had been dead for several days. On a scrap of paper in the suitcase was written, C. E. Scott, Portland, Ore. The Portland authorities have been notified and the body is being held at the Peterson parlors pending information from Portland. It is believed, however, the man is a "drifter" and probably will not be identified.
