Charles Secrest Honored At Rites
 
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at Payette for Charles P. 
Secrest, 76, a longtime Payette resident who died Saturday in a local nursing 
home.  He had been a resident of the area for the past 33 years.
 
He was born May 21, 1877 in Texas.
 
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Eula Holloway of Payette and Mrs. Hazel 
Carico, Mrs. Emma Pacha and Mrs. Esther Steiner, all of Seattle, two sons, 
A.J. Secrest of Payette and Earl Secrest of the U.S. Army; two brothers, nine 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
 
Services were held at the Shaffer Memory Chapel with the Rev. Bert Iddens 
officiating.  Interment followed at Rosedale Memorial Park.
