Andrew M. Shanks Passes at Age 80

Andrew M. Shanks, 80, died Friday morning in a Payette nursing home.  He was 
born Sept. 27, 1882, at Rogersville, Tenn., and was married to Leah Macauleay 
at New Port, Oregon, Dec. 29, 1908.  They came to Payette from Oregon City, 
Ore., three months ago. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Donald B. Shanks, Lake 
Oswego, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Griffin, San Luis Obispo and Mrs. John 
Baldridge, Payette; a brother and three sisters, six grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.

Services were to be announced by the Shaffer Memory Chapel in Payette.
