D. D. SHEARER At 10 o'clock Monday night an estimable woman passed away when the spirit of Mrs. Emma Farber Shearer, wife of David D.. Shearer, took its flight to the world beyond the veil. Mrs. Shearer had been ill only about two weeks, her trouble being pronounced acute Bright's disease by the attending physician. The funeral took place Wednesday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon from the family residence, Rev. Benj. Smith, pastor of the Christian church, officiating in the last sad rites. Mrs. Shearer was a woman whose kind disposition and friendly intercourse with her neighbors had drawn about her a large circle of true friends, to whom the news of her death, after so brief an illness, was fair as a personal look. The following is a brief Obituary Notice Emma Farber was born April 4th, 1849, in the State of Illinois. About the age of 20 she was married to William Neal, with whom she lived about 20 years in Iowa. Three children were born to this union, two sons and one daughter. The daughter died about 12 years ago and the two sons are living, one in California and the other in Arizona. In 1894 she was married to D. D. Shearer and for the past 13 years has made her home in Payette. She was seriously sick for eleven days and passed away on the night of Feb. 28th at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 4 days. Besides the sons she leaves two grand-daughters, two brothers, five sisters and other relatives with many friends.
