She was taken ill the preceding Sunday evening and was not able to attend Baccalaureate services for the class. Her mother accepted her diploma for her Thursday night and at the time the young graduate was reported to be improving. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shepard, she was born in this city April, 6, 1928. Besides the parents, she is survived by three sisters, her twin, Velma; Ruth and Donna Rae, Payette and Mrs. Bowler Delaney, Ontario, Oregon, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Strawn, of Fruitland and Mrs. Martha Shepard, of Payette. About one and one-held hours before her death the family had received word that she was improving. Miss Shepard had been employed part time at the Peterson Furniture company during the school year and was scheduled to take a full time position there this summer it was said. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Baptist church with the Rev. Paul Felthouse giving the sermon. The interment was in charge of Landon's.
