She had been in feeble health for several years gradually growing weaker and her passing to the great beyond was truly a symbol of declining years. She had finished her work on earth and was ready and willing to go. She had been entirely blind for the last fifteen years but with her great affiliation was patient to the end. Margaret Jane Post was born near Postville, Iowa, June 22nd, 1838, and died at Payette, Idaho, October 28th, 1919, being at the time of her death over 81 years of age. In 1868 while living in Dodge County, Minn., was united in marriage to Ambrose Sherwood. To this union five children were born of whom all have preceded her in death except W. F. Sherwood of Payette. Since 1894 she has made her home in Idaho. She became a member of the Christian Church, when but a child to which faith she has lived truly and devoted to the end. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Lauer's Undertaking Parlors, conducted by Rev. Adams, pastor of the Christian Church, and that evening the body was shipped to Kendrick, Idaho, accompanied by W. F. Sherwood, for burial beside two children who were buried there.
