O. R. Shira received a telegram Sunday announcing the death of his mother, 
Mrs. Alf Shira, which occurred early Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital in 
Center View, Iowa.  she had been ill for the past five years from rheumatism 
and other complications.  She made her home here a number of years, leaving 
for Iowa four years ago.  Her husband who is now at McCall, her daughter Mrs. 
W. J. Hubble, her son O. R. Shira and a sister, Mrs. A. H. McConnell of 
Fruitland, all survive her.
