The funeral was held in Emmett at 2 o'clock Tuesday and burial followed in Payette. THANK YOU We wish to extend our deep gratitude to our friends for their comforting expressions of sympathy during our recent bereavement. Mrs. George Skippen and family of Sweet, Idaho ----------------- The Emmett Messenger Emmett, Idaho Thursday, April 2, 1953 Services Held Tues. For George Skippen Services for George A. Skippen, 59, who died Saturday, were conducted at Beatty chapel Tuesday, March 31, with the Rev. E. J. Helseth of Payette officiating. Interment was at Riverside cemetery in Payette. Mr. Skippen was born at Ontario, Canada, Sept 28, 1893, and came to Payette as a small boy with his parents. He resided there until 1942, when he moved to Sweet, where he had since resided. He was married to Pearl Christensen at Payette March 8, 1921. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, a son, Donald, and daughter Ann, all of Sweet; his mother, Mrs. Angelina Skippen, Ontario, Ore.; a brother, R. E. Skippen of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Evalin Ayers, Council, and one granddaughter.
