Dr. Alfred Skippen

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Gable Funeral home for Dr. Alfred 
Skippen, 88, of 554 NE Hazelfern place, who died Saturday. Committal will be at 
Lincoln Memorial park.

Dr. Skippen was born November 30, 1859, in Dufferin county, Ontario, Canada. He 
was graduated from Toronto Medical university. He moved to Idaho in 1898, where 
he practiced medicine for 21 years, coming to Portland in 1919. He retired some 
years ago. 

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Albie Day and Mrs. Elda McDaniel, 
Portland; Mrs. Mercy Boynton, Boring, (Oregon) and Mrs. Annie Sweet, Emmett, 
Idaho; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
