Julian Iva Small Services Saturday
 
Julian Iva Small 67, passed away at a local hospital on December 24 after a 
long illness.  He was born at Rockport, Ind., August 7, 1885, and came to the 
Payette community in 1942 from Cozad, Nebr.  He was a carpenter by trade.
 
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sophie Small of Payette, three sons, Robert M. 
of Eugene, Oregon, Wandel V. of Umatilla, ,Oregon, and Julian L. Jr., of 
Payette; four daughters, Mrs. J. C. McClanahan, of Springfield, Oregon, Mrs. 
G. B. Johnson, Prairie City, Oregon, Mrs. J. L. Lalk of Caldwell and Miss 
Alice Small of Payette; four sisters, Mrs. C. M. Willis and Mrs. Fay Adams 
both of Payette; Mrs. Lessie Conner and Mrs. Albert Christensen of Cozad, 
Nebr.; two brothers, E. V. Small of Portland, and H. B. Small of Springfield; 
nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p. m. at the Shaffer Memory chapel 
with Rev. Harold Jacks officiating.  Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
