Manford A. Smith
 
EUGENE, Ore. -- Funeral services for Manford A Smith of Eugene, a native of 
Fruitland, Idaho, were held July 11.  He died July 6 at the age of 57.
 
He was born August 31, 1910 in Fruitland, Idaho.  Besides his wife, Frances, 
he is survived by three sons:  Donald L., Mark A. and Chuck H., all of Eugene; 
five sisters, Mrs. Addie Davis, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Ollie Stinnette of 
Portland; Mrs. Katherine Utley, Klamath Falls; Mrs. Eva Hill, Payette, Mrs. 
Zelma Glenisky, Junction City, Ore.; a brother, Hobart of Eugene, Ore.; and 
three grandchildren.
 
He had been a resident of Eugene since 1941 and had been the cannery 
superintendent of Eugene Fruit Growers.
