Mrs. Rose May Snowberger was born March 29, 1872 in Warren, Indiana, the daughter of John B and Cynthia Hults. She was united in marriage March 29, 1890 to David H. Snowberger. To this union were born four sons; Howard of Corvallis, Oregon; Ernest of Los Angeles, California; Fred of Eugene, Oregon; and Merritt of Ontario, Oregon, all of whom survive her. In 1896 the family moved from Indiana to North Dakota. In 1900 they moved to Payette, Idaho where Mrs. Snowberger lived until the time of her death. At the age of thirteen she became a member of the Church of the Brethren and was a consistent church worker for many years. Her love and devotion for the church was manifested by a constant interest and by the generous financial contributions even though she was not able to attend services in recent years.
