Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Payette, with Father Joseph Muha officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Mr. Sodja was born on March 28, 1901, at Butte, Mont., a son of Peter and Barbara Sodja. He moved with his parents to Payette in 1907. He had owned and operated several restaurants and bars in Payette and had owned and operated the Bancroft Cigar Store before selling it in 1949. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Payette. He is survived by a brother, William Sodja of Portland, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
