Soule Passes Away Smith N. Soule, father of L. S. and A. S. Soule of this city, died Sunday morning at his ranch up the Payette river from Emmett, after an illness of several weeks. He was 57 years old and besides his sons living in Payette, he leaves three other sons, two daughters, a wife and a mother. His mother and eldest son, Benjamin, live at Princeton, Minn., where the body is being taken for burial. Mr. Soule formerly lived in Payette, until about six years ago he moved to Emmett and then located on his ranch above that place. This spring he was taken sick with spotted fever, and before it had run its course pneumonia set in, causing his death at the time stated. His body was brought to Payette and was taken in charge by the members of the Masonic lodge, of which he had been a member. It was shipped on the afternoon train for Princeton, accompanied by Benjamin Soule. The youngest son, Roy, who lives at Anaconda, Mont., was also here.
