P. Stamey, son of Forney Stamey, of this city died Tuesday morning at a hospital in Portland, following a lingering illness, dating back to the time of his service in the World war, where it is believed he contracted the trouble that caused his death. Forest, as he was better know, was an exceptionally fine young man, well known in Payette where he has lived much of his time. He was 35 years of age and is survived by a wife. Mr. Stamey left Tuesday evening for Portland. Mrs. Stamey, who is visiting in the east has been notified and may arrive by airplane.
