Services Monday For Martha Stegall, Long Time Resident
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ellen Stegall, 76, of Payette were held 
Monday morning at 10:30 at the Payette Baptist church with the Rev. Bert 
Iddins officiating.  Interment was at Parkview cemetery in New Plymouth under 
the direction of the Shaffer Memory chapel.
 
Mrs. Stegall died unexpectedly Thursday morning on her birthday.  She was born 
July 23, 1877 at St. Clair, Mo.  She and her husband, Allen Stegall, moved to 
New Plymouth in 1903 where they lived for 17 years.  Since then they had lived 
in Payette.
 
She was a member of the Payette Baptist church and the Neighbors of Woodcraft 
lodge.
 
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Alta Standish of Payette and 
Mrs. Maude Phillips of Seattle; two sons, Victor Ashburn of Hermiston and 
Oliver Stegall of Cuprum; a brother, Ross Oliver of New Plymouth; two sisters, 
Mrs. Bertha Oliver of Seattle and Mrs. Nettie Long of Pasadena, Calif.; six 
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
