EUGENE A. STEGNER EXPIRES AT PAYETTE

Payette (Special) Eugene A. Stegner, 84, of Fruitland, a Payette county 
resident for many years died Thursday at his home.

Mr. Stegner was born January 21, 1869 at Sunman, Indiana.  He was married 
December 29, 1898 at Custer, Minnesota to Jean C. Newell, and the couple moved 
to Fruitland in 1902 from Stepheny, Minnesota. He was a member of the Methodist 
Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jean Stegner of Fruitland; two sons, Carl Stegner 
of Delano, California, and LeRoy Stegner of Fossil, Oregon; one daughter Mrs. 
Opal McBride of Weiser, and eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
